2 Months

Stats: Hayes is such a big boy, just like his mama and daddy! At his 2 month wellness appointment on 2/13/12, Hayes was 25" long and 14lbs 15 ounces. That is over 95% for his height and weight. His head circumference was in the 50% but I'm not sure of the measurement.

Milestones: Hayes has started to laugh but it usually sounds more like a cough. Sometimes when he is really excited he will squeal. He smiles at faces and loves to be carried around and sung to. He likes to try and sit up, and has really good head control. He is almost over the bobble head stage!

Feeding: He is still quite the chow hound. He eats about 4 ounces, every 3 hours around the clock. The past couple of days though he has been extra hungry, and wanting to eat every hour or two.

Behavior: He hasn't changed much from last month. He is still the happiest in the mornings, and will talk and talk to either the quilt, fan or a pair of fuzzy dice that are hanging above him. He also is enjoying sitting in his bouncy seat and looking at the stuff hanging from it. He is still loving bath time and is starting to splash in the water

Sleep: Hayes's sleep pattern has changed a little since I have gone back to work. We go to bed at 8:30 and then usually he wakes up at around 1am and 4am to eat and then is right back asleep. On weekdays we get up at 6am. On the weekends, I try to keep him in bed a little longer. Recently Hayes has started not wanting to take naps during the day. He thinks that he just needs a half hour cat nap and he is good to go. Well that works ok during the day, but by the evening he is miserable, because he is so tired.

Clothes: I think Hayes has outgrown all of his 3 months clothes. He is wearing mostly 6 months, and a few 9 months. He is wearing a size 2 diaper during the day, and a size 3 diaper at night, because that boy is a peeing machine!

1 Month

I am so late doing this Hayes is almost 6 weeks old. But lets see if I can remember back 2 weeks haha.

Stats: After weighing Hayes with me on the scale, he weighs about 11 pounds. We also stretched him out on mom's sewing cutting board and he measures 23"

Milestones: Hayes is talking to and cooing. There is a quilt on the wall, that every morning when he wakes up, he has about a half hour conversation with! After that he gets ticked that the quilt isn't talking back to him. His outie belly button became an innie this week.

Feeding: He is hungry all the time! I nurse as much as I can but when I'm out of milk he gets pissed so we are still supplementing some with formula.

Behavior: Hayes is definitely a morning person. He is so happy and smily then. But in the evenings not so much. He is usually crabby and fussy most of the evening. Thank goodness we have grandpa to walk him.

Sleep: Hayes usually wakes up twice at night to eat and then goes right back to sleep. He goes down for the night anywhere from 11pm to 1am. Then he is up for the day between 7 and 8. As far as naps go, there really is no pattern, it is different everyday. He is really good at sleeping if we are in the car.

Clothes: He is wearing all 3 months clothes and size 1-2 diapers from Costco. Hayes has worn 3 months clothes since he was born.

2 week stats

Just a little late. I figured I better write these down so I don't forget.
9lbs 4 ounces 90%
22" over 95%
The doctor was surprised Hayes had grown so much in just 2 weeks. He was also circumcised that day.
Since he is almost 4 weeks old now I am sure he has probably grown another 1/2" and put on another 2 pounds! What a chunk! He doesn't have another doctor's appointment until he is 2 months old. Here are some pictures from the past couple of weeks.

Look at that chin!

Pregnancy Highlights

How Far Along? 32 weeks 5 days

Size of Baby? 17 1/2" and 4 1/2 pounds.

Gender? A BOY! Hayes Lucas Olson

Maternity Clothes? Still none, but my shirts seem to be getting a little short, I guess I will just have to wear a tank top under everything.

Movement? I haven't felt his hands very much this week. If Chris or I put any weight on my stomach he will try to push it off, I think he is getting squished.

Sleep? Still the same. I am starting to get tired more at work. It is a struggle to stay awake in the afternoons.

Symptoms? None really, I get heart burn quite a bit but its not too bad and if I take a Zantac I'm good.

Best Moment of the Week? Oh I don't know, everything is starting to run together. Work is getting harder, I have a hard time concentrating and being productive. Obviously since I am typing this a 2pm on a Thursday. Haha I realized I just listed the worst part of the week not the best. Right now I am just trying to get by.

So I got the pictures from the baby shower, I just keep forgetting to bring the CD to work so I can post them. Hopefully I will remember soon, but no guarantees. And here is another picture taken in the work bathroom, because I'm classy like that! I definitely think I look bigger this week!

Pregnancy Highlights

How Far Along? 31 weeks 4 days

Size of Baby? About 4 pounds and 17 inches long. Holy cow I can't believe he is so big already.

Gender? A BOY! Hayes Lucas Olson

Maternity Clothes? Nada. Thank goodness, because I couldn't afford them right now, even if I needed them.

Movement? I swear I can feel his little hands grabbing stuff and like he is trying to put them on top of his head. Which doesn't work very well, because his head is already resting on my cervix. Sometimes it feels like he is grabbing my hip bones, but I don't think that is really possible.

Sleep? Been going great. I seem to have a pattern of going to bed at about 9 then wake up at 1:30 to go to the bathroom and then sometimes I am up again at 4 to use the bathroom. If not I just sleep the rest of the night. Last night I must have forgot to reset my alarm( I usually wake up a few minutes before my alarm, so I just shut it off.) I woke up this morning thinking I must have a couple of minutes before my alarm and laid there for awhile, but when I finally rolled over to look at the clock, I was 20 minutes late. Ooops. Good thing I always get to work a half hour early, so I still had time to get read and I wasn't late. I have never been a morning person, but now even on the weekends I can't sleep past 7:30, it must be my body getting me ready to be a mommy.

Symptoms? I'm still feeling really good, no cramps, no contractions. I still feel like I am squishing Hayes and my insides when I am sitting at my desk at work.

Cravings? I have been wanting Chinese food when I am at work, but when I get off nothing sounds good for dinner. I feel like I have been hungry a lot more though. When I went to the doctor on Friday I had gained 1/2 pound since my last appointment. I guess we will see if I start gaining consistently now.

Best Moment of the Week? Being in the single digit weeks until Hayes makes his appearance! Also when I went to the doctor, I got to see the new one, when I laid down for her to measure my uterus, she chuckled and told me I had the cutest LITTLE baby bump. Haha seriously I am pretty sure no doctor has ever thought any part of my was little! Also when she was using the Doppler to listen to Hayes's heartbeat, every time she would get it close, he would jump. My whole stomach moved. I have no clue how he even knew she was coming near him! What a crazy little baby!

I still don't have the pictures from the baby shower, Jessica was supposed to bring them over on Monday when I got off work, but I forgot to call her. Ooopps.

My due date is only 60 days from today! That is crazy!
