WWTK

 photo WWTKbutton-1-1_zps2077872a.jpg

Linking up with Kenzie and Scriptor for another week of we want to know Wednesday.

{no. 1} What does your morning routine look like?
On the weekdays, my alarm goes off at 5:50am and I mess with Facebook and Twitter for a couple of minutes, trying to convince myself to get up. Then I head to the bathroom, do my hair and makeup and get dressed. Then I start the coffee and put my lunch in my bag(packed the night before). I pack all my stuff out to the truck, then I go back in and wake up the boys. I load the boys up and head up to my moms to drop them off(3 houses away). Then I head to work and I am there by about 6:45

{no. 2} How long does it take you to get ready for the day?
On weekdays I take about 20 minutes to get ready. If I am actually getting ready to go somewhere on the weekends and I shower and wash my hair, it takes me about 2 hours just to shower, blow dry my hair and curl it, then another 10 minutes or so for make-up.

{no. 3} If you could wear one thing every day, what would it be?
Comfy clothes. The minute I get home I usually change out of my jeans and put on sweatpants or stretchy capris, depending on the weather.

{no. 4} Are you a girly girl or more of a tomboy?
Definitely a tomboy but I do enjoy make-up and doing my hair. I usually wear make-up and have my hair curled. I hardly ever dress nice though. A sweater and jeans is fancy for me. Most days it is jeans a tank top and a hooded sweatshirt.

{no. 5} Where is your go to place to shop?
Ummm... Nowhere. haha right now I am wearing jeans that are 2 years old, a tank top that is close to 10 years old and some Romeos that are at least 2 years old. Oh and underwear, socks and bra at least 3 years old. Yeah I am really not a fan of shopping. I do like going to KMart when they are having a clearance on there Spring and summer stuff though, but I haven't done that in at least 4 years. Wow I sound pretty pitiful just reading that.

So what about you guys? Are you are out of style and not put together as I am? I seriously don't think I have ever had an item of fad clothing.(chevron, anyone?)

Swept Away (Book Review)

This is from the back of the book

Laughter, Romance, and Action Abound in This New Series from Mary Connealy

Swept away when her wagon train attempts a difficult river crossing, Ruthy MacNeil isn't all that upset at being separated from the family who raised her. All they've ever done is work her to the bone. She prayed for a chance to get away, and then came the raging flood. Alive but disoriented, she's rescued by Luke Stone...so unfortunately, there are more chances to die in her immediate future.

Luke is heading home to reclaim the ranch stolen from his family. But the men who killed his father are working hard to ensure Luke doesn't make it alive. He has no choice but to keep moving. Still, he can't just abandon Ruthy, so she'll have to come along.

I really liked this book! I haven't really been able to get back into reading since Hayes was born, but I think this book did the trick. I would consider it an adventure romance set in the Old West. Perfect for me. This was book one in the Trouble in Texas series. I don't know when the next book in the series comes out, but I will be sure to get it.

Ruthy is in a wagon train with her adoptive family and the wagon gets trapped in a flash flood, Ruthie is the only one that survives. She is rescued by Luke and together they fight to get his ranch back.

I wold highly recommend this book for anyone who likes Western historical fiction. I enjoyed Mary Connealy's writing style, it was easy to read and hard to put down!

This review has for Bethany House Publishing. I was not compensated for this review but I did receive a free copy of the book in trade for my review. All opinions are my own.

Well..... How about if you want to play along, go for it! I would love to hear about all of you. I just don't want to put anyone on the spot!

State 7 things about yourself:

1. I am an Amazon, I am 5'11" and bigger than most guys.
2. I love all things country. Music, living, clothes, trucks.
3. I wish I could go live off the grid somewhere up in the hills. No people just me and my family.
4. I don't like to shop. If I could just buy everything at Costco I would be happy.
5. I took 2 years of college, but never got my business administration degree. I currently work as a Design Engineer, side by side with guys that have gone to at least 4 years of college.
6. I have been married to my best friend Chris, for almost 6 years. We met when we were in high school and then were reintroduced at 23.
7. I suck at sports. Everyone always thought that because of my height and size that I played some sort of sport, but I am terribly uncoordinated and unmotivated. In middle school the football coach tried to recruit me to play since I was bigger than all the boys, but my dad wouldn't let me.

Wow, that was a random assortment of facts! haha

What are 7 things I don't know about you?

{no. 1} Were you born and raised in the town you live in, or did you move to that town?
Yes I was. I am actually the 5th generation in Whatcom County. My family homesteaded here in the 1870s.

{no. 2} What is your favorite thing about the town you live in?
I love that we have the bay and salt water on the West and the mountains to the East.

{no. 3} Are there any special annual events there?
There is the Northwest Washington Fair, and the Ski to Sea Race that draws people from all over the world on Memorial Day weekend.

{no. 4} What don't you like about your town?
The rain! Well I guess that is really about my weather, not the town itself. I guess I would say I don't like how much it has grown recently. We live right on the Canadian border, and we get so many rude people down here shopping.

{no. 5} If you could live anywhere, where would it be?
Kalispell Montana, Chris and I went there on vacation and absolutely fell in love. We even tried moving there, but it didn't work out. If there was more work, we would figure out a way to live there!

Hopefully our laptop will be fixed soon so I can catch you guys up with our lives!
